Home charging is the cheapest option
But how can we know which kWh was injected where, in which car, and at what price?
VoltaBack identifies home charging sessions without deploying new equipment
VoltaBack connects to the vehicle and the home electricity consumption data to calculate the exact cost of every single home charging session.

Without any additional equipment, VoltaBack performs better than smart cable or connected charging station

FAQs
Which brands are compatible ?
All. All EVs are connected and VoltaBack can connect to any brand: European, Asian or North American.

Do I need a smart meter to use VoltaBack?
No, if you live in a building, or you don’t have a smart meter, but you can charge at home, you can use VoltaBack simply uploading the utility bill of your domestic charging point operator (ex ZePlug, or Waat,…), or electricity supplier (EDF, Engie…).
Do I need to install or buy an equipment to use VoltaBack?
No, VoltaBack does not require any hardware to be installed in your car or home (no smart cable, no telematics box) and works with whatever type of charger or plug you use at home. We use all the data already collected by your car manufacturer and electricity supplier to calculate the exact cost of each charge.
What data is shared with my employer?
The employer only has access to the information gathered in each employee's expense report receipts. This information is minimized and only allows the strict monitoring of energy expenses related to charging at the employee's home. VoltaBack only works in the interests of the employee by exploiting data already collected by your car manufacturer or energy supplier. If you have any questions, you can consult our general conditions of use as well as our data protection and privacy policy. You can contact VoltaBack via the contact form or by sending an email to contact@volta-back.com, we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Where is user data stored?
All our data is stored on secure servers in France or Belgium.
In which country are you set up?
VoltaBack is available in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. If you would like to deploy VoltaBack in another country, please contact us so that we can work together to make it happen.
Does VoltaBack take into account losses between the vehicle and the smart meter?
Yes, thanks to the crossing of data between the smart meter and the vehicle, we can assess these losses. The smart meter allows you to identify the volume of electricity you are billed for, while the connection to the car allows you to know the volume of electricity that reaches the battery. We can thus take into account the difference between the two, which may be due to thermal losses in electrical equipment, such as the inverter in your car or the cables in your electrical installation.
