No. Voltaback is a 100% software solution: no box, no smart cable, no connected charger, no agent to install. It works with any socket or charger already in place, in a house or a shared residential building, with or without a Smarty smart meter, including with solar panels, in Luxembourg and in cross-border workers' countries of residence. It uses the data already transmitted by the vehicle manufacturer and the electricity supplier.
For each home charging session: the date, duration, energy consumed in kWh and the amount. For the home: the address, electricity tariff and consumption, set up from an electricity bill. Every charging session is linked to an identified vehicle. Collection is limited to what is strictly necessary to calculate the reimbursement.
The employee connects their vehicle in the app in a few minutes, any brand: Voltaback then reads the charging data transmitted by the manufacturer. Home settings come from an uploaded electricity bill. No sensor or physical equipment is needed.
The data serves a single purpose: calculating the reimbursement. It is never sold or shared with third parties, and collection is kept to the strict minimum. No geolocation is sent to the company: Voltaback is not an employee geolocation system within the meaning of Article L.261-1 of the Labour Code, which makes informing the staff delegation simpler. Voltaback is GDPR compliant, provides a data processing agreement (DPA) and gives you the information you need for your impact assessment if the CNPD asks for one. All exchanges are end-to-end encrypted.

Yes, if you want it. Voltaback can connect to your corporate directory (SAML/OIDC) and handle account provisioning via SCIM. It is not mandatory: these options are enabled according to your organisation's needs. Integration with the tools you already use (HRIS, payroll or your payroll provider, fleet management software) is done via API, with no overhaul of your architecture.
Yes. Access rights are managed by role on the admin side, and both access and actions are recorded in audit logs to meet internal control requirements.
Beyond ISO 27001 certification, Voltaback runs penetration tests, commits to an availability level (SLA) and keeps its list of subprocessors up to date. The details, the DPA and the architecture documentation are shared with your teams during the technical discussion.
Your data can be exported at any time and reversibility is guaranteed at the end of the contract, with no proprietary lock-in. The exact terms are set out when the contract is signed.
