No. Voltaback works with or without a smart meter, whether a Smarty meter in Luxembourg or a cross-border worker's meter in their country of residence. Without a smart meter, the calculation relies on vehicle data and your electricity bill to determine the price per kWh at your home. Reimbursement accuracy stays the same.

No. No connected charger, no smart cable, no box. Voltaback works with any socket or charger already in place. We use the data already collected by the car manufacturer and the electricity supplier.

The employer only has access to the reimbursement statement: date, amount of energy, amount paid. No location, journey or personal usage data is shared. Voltaback complies with the GDPR and keeps the data transmitted to the strict minimum.

All data is hosted in the European Union, on servers that meet the highest security standards. Voltaback is ISO 27001 certified.

Yes. By cross-checking meter data with vehicle data, Voltaback identifies the gap between the electricity billed and the electricity actually received by the battery. These losses (cables, inverter) are included in the calculation for the fairest possible reimbursement.
