Actual cost, to the cent. There is no official flat rate per kWh in Luxembourg: a flat rate not backed by measurement, or higher than the actual cost, is treated as taxable salary. Voltaback uses no averages, no estimates and no national average price: every kWh is reimbursed at the exact tariff of the employee's contract, in Luxembourg or in their country of residence if they are a cross-border worker. Your employees get full transparency and the benefit of their night or dynamic tariff, and you stay within the flat-rate benefit in kind of the company car.
At home, charging costs around €0.27/kWh in Luxembourg, less with a night offer or dynamic tariff, and around €0.36 to €0.38/kWh for a Belgian or German cross-border worker. At a public rapid charger, a kWh often costs more than €0.50. Across a fleet, the difference adds up to thousands of euros a year. Voltaback secures this saving by reimbursing home charging precisely.
Yes. Reimbursing the actual cost of the kWh actually charged into the company car is consistent with the grand-ducal regulation of 23 December 2016, under which the car's running costs are covered by the flat-rate benefit in kind. Every charging session is linked to an identified vehicle. It is impossible to claim a charging session that does not match the vehicle concerned.
