Frequently asked questions
Box-free telematics, your questions
Yes. Recent vehicles, including combustion vehicles, can be connected and expose their data. Voltaback connects to them and collects mileage and usage with no added hardware.
No. For a recent fleet, native reading is enough. A box only remains useful on older vehicles, often from before 2020, which are harder to connect.
Each vehicle is connected to Voltaback in a few minutes. The data then comes in automatically, with no sensor or installation.
Mileage, charging consumption in kilowatt-hours and a report of CO2 emissions avoided, per vehicle. Enough to feed cost recharging and ESG reporting, with no geolocation ever sent to the company, a key point under Article L.261-1 of the Labour Code and the CNPD guidelines.
