Why Voltaback × Electra
Six reasons to choose the Voltaback × Electra card
One badge, zero Voltaback commission, with no change to your drivers' habits.
How it works
A card up and running in three steps

You order the badges
One Electra badge per driver, sent to the employee's home with a welcome kit. You manage access from a single space.

The driver charges anywhere
Badge, app or AutoCharge: they plug into an Electra or partner charger and pay nothing upfront.

You track and pay in one place
Every charge flows into Voltaback, next to home charging, and arrives through a single billing channel.

The Electra network, wherever your drivers go
The Electra network, wherever your drivers go
Electra builds and operates ultra-fast charging stations in Europe. In Switzerland, Electra has been present since 2024 with Energy Infrastructure Partners: a first site in Collombey (VS), stations in the Zurich area and in Bern, and a first motorway charging park since April 2026. The app guides drivers to an available charger. With AutoCharge, charging starts as soon as the car is plugged in, with no badge.

They trust us

Try Voltaback and you'll keep it! After several months of use, I can confirm that the solution really makes daily life easier for electric car drivers at Sodexo.

We didn't know how we could reimburse their charging. In the end we chose Voltaback as our provider. It allows reimbursement at real cost, which helped get the project off the ground because employees felt reassured.

After a disappointing and restrictive first experience with connected charging stations at home, we finally found a home charging reimbursement solution that is simple, scalable and reliable, compatible with any type of charging station and intuitive for every user.

Business charging card: your questions
A business charging card is a badge, or an app, that lets fleet drivers start a charge at a public charger, with the invoice sent to the company. It is issued by an e-mobility service provider that has agreements with charge point operators: this is roaming. With Voltaback, the card runs on the Electra network and public charging is tracked on the same platform as home charging.
The best charging card for a fleet combines wide network coverage, no commission on charging and tracking by vehicle. The kWh price matters, but a commission of a few percent on every session weighs more over a year. Also check that the card feeds into the tool that already tracks home charging, to avoid two dashboards. The Voltaback × Electra card meets all three criteria.
Yes. With the Voltaback × Electra card, every charge is linked to the identified vehicle, whether it takes place on the public network, on site or at home. A charge made with a badge on another vehicle, or unusual consumption, is flagged to the fleet manager in real time, instead of being discovered weeks later on an invoice. With Electra's AutoCharge, charging starts when the recognised vehicle is plugged in, with no badge to lend. The fleet manager keeps a reliable view, vehicle by vehicle, with no manual checks.
According to Electra, its charging card gives access to more than one million charge points in Europe via roaming. In Switzerland, it works at Electra stations, from Collombey (VS) to the Zurich area and Bern, including its first motorway charging park, and on partner networks. The Electra app shows charger availability and plans charging stops along a route.
A company gets a charging card by signing a contract with an e-mobility service provider, which opens a business account and sends a badge to each driver. At Electra, the process follows five steps: contract, account creation, onboarding of the fleet manager, badge dispatch, employee training. With Voltaback, it all starts with a 30-minute demo, then the badges are linked to the vehicles already being tracked.
An eMSP (e-Mobility Service Provider) is an electric mobility operator: it provides the card or app that gives access to chargers and bills the charging to the driver or the company. It is different from a CPO (Charge Point Operator), which installs and operates the chargers. Electra is both a CPO, with its own stations, and an eMSP with Electra Business, which lets it sell charging with no intermediary.
A roaming commission is a margin added to the charger price when a driver charges with an operator that did not issue their card. According to Electra, it represents about 2 % of the price, often on top of the card issuer's commission of 5 to 10 %. These fees add up with every session. Voltaback takes no commission on charging.
A fuel card only works for an electric car if its issuer has added charging to its offer; otherwise you need a dedicated charging card, sometimes called an electric fuel card. For a mixed fleet, the challenge is to avoid multiplying cards and invoices. With Voltaback, the Electra card covers public charging, and home charging is tracked and reimbursed in the same tool.
No, public charging paid with the company card is not reimbursed to the driver: they pay nothing upfront, and the charging is billed directly to the company. Only home charging, paid on the employee's electricity bill, is reimbursed. Voltaback tracks both in one place and reimburses home charging at the real cost of the kWh, without ever counting a charge twice.
A fleet's public charging is billed to the company that holds the cards, usually monthly, with details of each session. The challenge is to link each charge to the right vehicle and the right driver. With the Voltaback × Electra card, charging goes through a single billing channel, and each session appears by vehicle on the platform, next to home charging.
No, for a company car. The private share of 0.9 % a month (item 2.2 of the salary certificate) assumes that the employer pays for the energy: covering public or home charging does not create any additional benefit. The details are on our page home charging reimbursement.
