No. Voltaback works with or without a smart meter. Without one, the calculation uses the vehicle's data and your electricity bill to work out the price per kWh at your home. The reimbursement is just as precise.
No. No connected charger, no smart cable, no box. Voltaback works with any socket or charger already in place. It uses the data already collected by the car manufacturer and the electricity supplier.
Your employer only sees the reimbursement record: date, energy, amount and, if the company uses the HMRC per-mile rate, business miles and whether you charged at home or in public. No location, journey or personal usage data is shared. Voltaback complies with UK GDPR and keeps the data shared to the strict minimum.

Yes. By comparing the meter data with the vehicle data, Voltaback identifies the gap between the electricity billed and the energy actually received by the battery. These losses (cables, on-board charger) are included in the calculation, so you are reimbursed for what the charge really cost.
