Home charging, your biggest savings lever.
Home charging, your biggest savings lever.
- Public rapid charging? You pay 3 to 10 times more. - Connected chargers and cables to manage? No more time lost on logistics. - Electrification to launch? We help you get it done. Voltaback moves charging to the home, reimbursed at real cost: a saving that comes back every month, with no hardware to manage.

What you gain
Cheaper, covered, and you save time.
Real-cost reimbursement, with no operational burden.

You only pay the real cost
Reimbursement per kWh actually charged, at the driver's own tariff. No generous flat rate: you stop overpaying, and nothing is paid above cost, which would be taxable pay.

You're covered in an audit
A record per car, at measured real cost, generated every month. If HMRC asks, everything is ready.

You install nothing
No hardware to install, no connected box. It works with the charger or socket your drivers already have.

You save time on your electrification
Tracking, reimbursements, exports, integration with your fleet tools, HRIS and payroll: everything is automated. One dashboard and your ROI live. Voltaback runs operations, you steer your fleet's transition.

It works for all your drivers
without exception

Voltaback even works on a standard 3-pin plug (about 2.3 kW, 10 A). Not recommended for daily use: choose a dedicated socket or a wallbox.

A 16 A commando socket (3.7 kW) on its own circuit, fitted by a qualified electrician. Voltaback precisely measures the energy consumed. A low-cost option for daily home charging.

Any wallbox: 7.4 kW on a standard single-phase supply, 11 or 22 kW on three-phase. Voltaback works without configuration, whatever your charger.

Private garage, driveway or carport: Voltaback works with every type of house set-up.

Shared charger in a block of flats, socket in your garage or allocated bay: Voltaback adapts to your installation, even in shared buildings.

Shared charger or dedicated bay underground: Voltaback identifies your charging sessions even on shared infrastructure.
Ils parlent de nous

Try Voltaback and you'll keep it! After several months of use, I can confirm the solution genuinely makes daily life easier for electric vehicle drivers at Sodexo.

We didn't know how we could reimburse their charging. In the end we chose Voltaback. It allows reimbursement at actual cost, which helped launch the project because employees felt reassured.

After a disappointing and restrictive first experience with connected home chargers, we finally found a home-charging reimbursement solution that is simple, scalable and reliable, compatible with any type of charger and intuitive for every user.

FAQ
Your questions, from the fleet side
Your choice, and Voltaback handles both. For a company car, salary sacrifice included, HMRC lets you reimburse 100% of the home electricity, private use included, with no tax and no NIC (s.239 ITEPA 2003). Voltaback reimburses each charge at the real cost of the driver's own tariff (Octopus Go, Intelligent Octopus, Agile, Economy 7...), charging losses included. Prefer a fixed rate? Voltaback applies the HMRC Advisory Electricity Rate, 7p per mile charged at home and 15p in public, which needs business miles and the charging location: both are measured from the car. What matters is separating the car's charging from the rest of the household's use, not business from private miles.
At home on an EV tariff, off-peak electricity costs around 7p/kWh, and even at the Ofgem price cap (26.32p/kWh for October to December 2026) it stays well below public rapid charging at around 79p/kWh (Zapmap): 3 to 10 times cheaper. Across a fleet, the difference runs into thousands of pounds a year. Voltaback secures this saving by reimbursing home charging precisely.
Yes. HMRC expects reasonable evidence, and Voltaback produces it automatically: every month, a record per car with each charge, the energy, the tariff and the amount, plus business miles and charging location if you use the per-mile rate. If HMRC asks, you have everything you need, with nothing to prepare.
No. Voltaback works without an imposed connected charger, smart cable or box, on any socket or charger already in place. You no longer have a charger estate to manage.
Yes. Voltaback connects to your fleet management software, your HRIS and your payroll tools via a secure API. Charging data flows in automatically, with no double entry.
No. Without a smart meter, the solution relies on the vehicle's data and documents such as the electricity bill or the charge point operator's invoice.
Yes. Charging losses are included in the calculation, so the reimbursement reflects the electricity actually used to charge the vehicle.
Every charging session is linked to an identified vehicle. A charge that does not match the car concerned cannot be claimed.
Only the reimbursement record: date, energy, amount and, with the per-mile rate, business miles. No location, journey or personal usage data is shared. Voltaback complies with UK GDPR and keeps data to the strict minimum.
A few days. Bulk import of drivers, vehicle connection in 2 minutes and home set-up from an electricity bill.
